We are looking for dedicated casual assistants who would like to join our team at Southern Cross Early Childhood School to build community connections with children, families and educators. Southern Cross Early Childhood School places high importance on continually improving practice and excelling in everything we do. We are trauma-informed in our practices, and understand that all children require individual connections to exceed and grow. We have the same philosophy across our Long Day Care Setting, and Out of School Hours Care teams.

The successful applicant will be working across all age groups and add to inclusive, play-based programs that are based on the children's interests and developmental needs. They will be required to think innovatively about the Centre holistically and engage in critical reflection with the team as a whole. They will work individually with the whole team to build strong connections, and ensure goal setting is met effectively.

We strive to build strong relationships with families, children, educators and the local community and provide a natural environment for children to grow and learn. We have high standards in the services we deliver, and expect all applicants to embrace our philosophies and values wholeheartedly in order to be successful for the position.

A minimum qualification of a Certificate III in Early Childhood Services is required to apply. Pay will be negotiable depending on experience.

Applicants must hold a Working With Vulnerable People clearance through the Office of Regulatory Services (ACT) and undergo a National Criminal History Check prior to an offer of employment.
