Are you a motivated and focused Early Childhood Educator looking for an exciting new challenge? Anglicare (NSW South, West & ACT) is a not-for-profit organisation seeking applications for a Diploma-qualified Educator to work across our Early Learning and Out of School Hours programs at Southern Cross Early Learning service, located on the campus of Southern Cross Early Childhood School.

The Opportunity

As a Diploma qualified Educator at Southern Cross Early Learning service, you will mentor and support other Educators, role modelling high-quality practice and a strong focus on child safety and wellbeing. You will assist in leading the development of innovative and responsive educational programs informed by the principles, practices, and outcomes of the Early Years Learning Framework, My Time, Our Place, and the National Quality Standards. You will establish warm, nurturing relationships with each child and friendly, supportive relationships with their families while attending to children's learning and well-being throughout the day.

What's needed to succeed?

  • An ACECQA approved Diploma qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care
  • Current ACT Working with Vulnerable People Card (WWVP)
  • Experience working in an Early Childhood Education and Care setting, with a sound understanding of the National Quality Framework, Early Years Learning Framework, and relevant legislation and regulations.
  • A deep commitment to children's safety and well-being, and an understanding of your obligations as a mandatory reporter.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
  • High level of energy, enthusiasm, and creativity, with a passion for supporting children's learning and development
  • Commitment to Anglicare's mission and values of inclusiveness, compassion, dignity and integrity
