What You'll Do
As a Disability Support Worker, you'll provide respectful, person-centred care to individuals with disabilities and/or aged care needs. You'll work both independently and as part of a team to deliver high-quality support that truly makes a difference.
Your primary responsibilities include:
- Assisting with daily living activities such as showering, dressing, grooming, and medication support
- Supporting clients with mobility and the use of aids (e.g., walking frames, wheelchairs, hoists, hearing devices)
- Performing light household tasks, including cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation
- Ensuring a safe, clean, and comfortable living environment
- Providing transport and companionship for shopping, medical appointments, and social outings
- Encouraging participation in community activities and fostering social connections
- Supporting clients with behavioural, medical, or psychosocial complexities
- Observing and documenting client wellbeing, progress, and any changes in condition
- Participating in team meetings, supervision, and ongoing training.
What You'll Bring
- Certificate III in Individual Support (or relevant experience with willingness to study)
- Minimum of two years' experience supporting individuals with disabilities and individuals that are aging.
- Completion of NDIS Commission training modules: Quality, Safety and You, and New Worker Induction
- A compassionate, flexible, and proactive attitude
- Proficient in working with Microsoft Office, MS Teams and Mobile Apps
- NDIS Worker Screening Check Clearance
- Working with Children Check
- Current Driver's Licence and a reliable, registered, comprehensively insured vehicle
