Carer Recruitment and Support Worker

The core mission of Anglicare (NSW South, West & ACT) is to break the cycle of intergenerational poverty for children, young people and families. We have a particular focus on serving vulnerable communities in the ACT and regional, rural NSW. Anglicare is also committed to planning for all Aboriginal children and young people within the Anglicare Permanency Support Programs to transition to Aboriginal controlled services.

We are seeking a Carer Recruitment and Support Worker who is passionate about improving the lives of vulnerable children and young people. This position is part of the wider Carer Support Team across Anglicare PSP programs. You will play a vital role in making sure children and young people have the opportunity to grow in loving, safe and committed kinship or foster family placements.

Your responsibilities include working closely with the Senior Carer Practitioner and the Foster/Kinship Care Team and Carers to support high quality placements for children and young people.

You will have

  • Current, understanding of the Permanency Support Program (PSP) services;
  • Experience in out of home care, family support services or other related work;
  • Tertiary qualifications in community services, social work or welfare (minimum diploma level);
  • A valid driver's licence;

The salary range for this position is $65,346 to $71,116 per annum, plus 9.5% employer superannuation guarantee. Generous salary packaging benefits are available under Anglicare's PBI status. Anglicare also offers other benefits including additional personal leave and paid parental leave.
